Buddhi Bahadur Tamang, another 41-year-old who was a supporter of the Zen-G movement, was also in the forefront. The father of 14 and 17-year-old sons also participated in the protest saying that corrupt leaders have ruined the country. He died on August 23 due to bullet injury.
Bishnu Bahadur Tamang, the deceased Tamang's father who belonged to Tistung-Palung house, was also the support of Tamang in his old age. He had a cafe in Buddh with good manners.
The heart of the deceased's father was shaken after hearing the news of the shooting. He did not even imagine that such an incident would happen. Suddenly the sky fell in his life. On the morning of the incident, Buddhi Bahadur had his last meeting with his elderly father at home.
Buddhi Bahadur used to mention that 'martyrs give their lives for the country rather than their families'. That morning too, he repeated the same sentence and said, 'Lakhan Thapa Magar, Shukraraj Shastri, Dharmabhakta Mathema, Gangalal Shrestha and Dasharath Chand were martyred because of their opposition to the autocratic Jahaniya Rana regime. If they were not martyrs, our ancestors would not have experienced democracy.'
According to Buddhi Bahadur's father, his son was not affiliated to any political party. They did not even participate in the movement of political parties. For the first time, he participated in the movement of the people. He was of a nature not to quarrel with anyone, not to participate in political party demonstrations.
Now his father Bishnu Bahadur Tamang is worried whether the change his son is looking for will come or not. He says, 'Democracy as understood by the present leaders and democracy as understood by the youth are completely different. The son achieved heroism while radically changing the country. He sacrificed his life for the nation, for the change of the nation. There was no personal interest. However, even after 5 days of martyrdom, no one has given consolation from the state.'
He asked to pay the price of his son's blood. "Since the movement has been successful, the state should take all the responsibility of the family of the deceased," he is emotional.
'We are poor, we work, but we have not sold our souls for money. No one should sell it', Buddhi Bahadur's father said, 'the dream of making his grandsons a doctor engineer has been shattered.' Buddhi Bahadur's wife, who is still crying, babbles alone, unable to speak. "Now the sad days have started," she keeps saying like this from time to time. - Updated and edited details.
