Three roads entering Kathmandu from Hetaunda are in operation

3 road routes from Hetounda to the capital have been opened. Hetaunda –Vaise, Bhimfedi, Kulekhani–Sisneri and Dakshinkali roads have been put into operation. 

Kulekhani & Dakshikali road section, near Sisneri Bazar, the road was blocked for three days due to the Dodhare river washing away the road. After the repair of the said road, it has been operational since 9 am on Monday. 

Similarly, vehicles have been plying on Hetaunda –Vaise, Bhimfedi –Kulekhani Fakhel road and Tribhuvan Rajpath since Monday morning. Tribhuvan Rajpath, Kulekhani-Fakhel and Kulekhani-Cisneri roads have been cleared and three roads entering Kathmandu from Hetaunda have been put into operation.

Landslides have occurred at three places on the Kantilokpath from Thingan to Bagua river, and the road is still blocked due to landslides near Simat river. Several parts of the BP highway at Kavre have been damaged due to rain since Saturday. Bhakunde under BP highway –Nepalthok road  Roshi river has damaged about 9 km of the section.

The chairman of Roshi Rural Municipality Dinesh Lama informed that the continuous rain on Saturday caused damage again in the diversion made temporarily in Namobuddha Municipality and Roshi Rural Municipality from Chowkidanda to Boksekuna, Ghumwane, Dalabensi, Piple, Mamti.

Last year, the completely damaged highway was put into operation with an investment of around 100 million. According to President Lama, diversions at various places on the highway have been washed away by the Roshi River. He said it will take about 10 days to repair the highway and bring it into operation.

According to him, about 9 km of the BP highway has been completely damaged. He said that as an alternative route, one can enter Kathmandu via the Temal-Bhakunde road section via Sitkha in Sindhuli. He informed that now the road is blocked and it can be repaired and put into operation in two to four days.

A two-way road has been closed due to a landslide in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality –3. Due to the rain since Friday evening, a landslide occurred in Fischling under Mugling – Nagadhunga section at 1:45 pm.
