At the call of Gen-G, demonstrations were raging in Kathmandu on Monday. The Gen-G group gathered in front of the parliament building in Baneshwar and raised slogans. In the middle of the demonstration, around 3.30 pm, there was a shooting.
22-year-old Bimal Bhatt of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-5 Nareshwar Danda was the first to fall after being shot from the direction of the Parliament building. He died immediately after being rescued and taken to the Civil Hospital.
He had been studying with his uncle in Kathmandu Koteshwar for four years. His relative Sujan Bhatt said that he was studying in Pashupati campus and joined the movement along with his friends.
'When he went to the movement, he first fell down in front of the parliament building in Baneshwar,' Sujan said, 'His friends immediately took him to the civil hospital, but when he went there, he was found to be dead.'
He was shot in the left chest and forehead. He became a participant in the movement by talking to his uncle saying, 'We don't go, who goes, the country needs change'. "He was of the feeling that there should be a change in the country, something should be done," Sujan said, "I couldn't believe it when I got this news."
Bimal came to the village for planting in summer and returned to Kathmandu only after Teej. He was very amiable in the village with leadership skills. The news of his death did not reach his mother Sita Bhatt.
55-year-old father Ramakrishna Bhatt is distraught after hearing the news of his son's death. "He himself is mentally ill, we have informed him that the younger one has been shot in the leg, but we have not been able to tell the mother many things," Sujan said, "After telling her that her son was injured, the mother is saying that she will talk to the younger one and put the phone on the phone, we are pretending that he is in the hospital." His body has been kept in the teaching hospital.
Bimal is the youngest of three brothers. Relatives say that the financial condition of the family is poor. "Bimal used to say that he would get a job at home, otherwise he would have to do some business," Sujan said.
He also seemed disappointed with the corruption and unemployment in the country. Bimal, who was working in his uncle's basing factory, was also worried about not being able to improve the financial condition of the house. The family is preparing to identify the body and bury it on Saturday.
