The government is going to adopt a foreign policy based on the principle of 'friendship with all, enmity with none'. President Ramchandra Paudel, while presenting the government's policies and programs in Parliament on Friday, announced that 'friendship with all, enmity with none' will be the main basis of foreign policy.
"By deepening friendly relations with neighboring friendly countries, relations based on mutual benefits and respect will be established," it is said in the government's policy and program, "Nepal's role in the United Nations and multilateral forums will be promoted by making Nepal's role more effective and stronger."
Foreign Policy 2077 has promoted the same principle. In order to protect national interests, it is mentioned in the policy and program that an independent foreign policy will be adopted based on the principles of the United Nations, principles of independence, international law and world peace.
Nepal's affiliated regional cooperation organization aims to make regional cooperation meaningful and effective in the interests of Nepal. Likewise, economic diplomacy programs will be conducted effectively inside and outside the country by establishing economic diplomacy as an important tool for aid, investment, labor market, tourism and trade promotion.
The government has also taken a policy to enhance the country's identity and respect at the international level through public and cultural diplomacy that utilizes the capabilities and networks of non-resident Nepalis.
