The closed session of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) that was halted due to the dispute over the general convention representative is about to begin. RSS General Secretary Karbindra Burlakoti and Bhupdev Shah have resolved the dispute after discussing with the Election Central Committee and the disgruntled parties.
According to General Secretary Bhupdev Shah, preparations are underway to begin the closed session within the next one to one and a half hours. According to a leader who participated in the discussion, the work of resolving the issue of the duplicate name of the general convention representative has also been completed. He said that preparations are underway to open the registration soon.
After the dispute over the general convention representative is resolved, it is estimated that the number of people participating in the closed session will reach around 3,800 to 4,000.
RSS General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti has informed that the work of registering candidates, opposing claims and other activities will be completed by the evening and the voting will also begin today. He said, ‘The report of the closed session will be handed over to the Election Commission after the session. There is a possibility that the voting will begin this evening itself. Work including candidacy registration, protest claims, voter registration, etc. will be completed by evening.'
