Gelal, who was born in Chaudandigadhi Municipality-9, Jyamire in 2042 Baisakh, has a permanent address in Inaruwa Municipality-6, Sunsari. He has been associated with the politics of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party since his professional life and has studied up to his master's degree. He has made a name for himself in the business leadership of the private sector along with education and social awareness. He has studied political science, culture and economics.
He was elected as a federal member of parliament with a margin of 18,948 votes, or 30,590 votes, over his nearest competitor. Rajesh Kumar, the candidate of the Shram Sanskriti Party who was defeated by Gelal, got 11,606 votes.
Gelal is also the secretary of the Central Industry and Commerce Department of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party and a member of the Central Election Strategy Task Force. He was involved in social campaigns and entrepreneurship and was engaged in the business of buying and selling cars and jeeps in various places including Itahari in Sunsari. He became an independent candidate for the post of deputy mayor in the 2074 local level elections and received only 50 votes. After that, although he supported the Unified Socialist Party, Gelal was actively involved in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since 2079 BS.
Gelal, who also worked on the issue of good governance in Koshi Province through the Good Governance Campaign, also worked as a journalist for some time. He ran an anti-corruption campaign through the Radio Listeners Club. He has worked as a constitution-related activist and public hearings since the time of the Constituent Assembly elections and was professionally involved in the expansion of the electric vehicle and automobile sector.
Gelal, who is friendly, simple-minded and skilled in eloquence, is also considered to be excellent in education, organization and professional leadership. After being elected as a member of the House of Representatives, Gelal has expressed his commitment to the overall economic development of Udayapur, job creation for the youth, expansion of local industries and modernization in agriculture. Receiving his certificate after being elected, he said, ‘Udayapur is a district with potential for agriculture, tourism and small and medium industries. My main goal is to strengthen the local economy by moving forward in a planned manner.’

Gelal, who entered the politics of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) saying that development, good governance, corruption control and creation of employment opportunities in the country cannot be achieved by the old political forces, has decided to travel to Parliament for the first time.
