The National Independent Party (NISP) candidate Rambinod Yadav (50 years old), who won by a wide margin from Dhanusha Constituency No. 2, is a businessman. He used to be a ration contractor for the Nepali Army in some districts of Madhesh.

Yadav of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City-17 Kanakapattika in Dhanusha has been elected to the House of Representatives this time by getting 41,637 votes. His nearest rival is Dinesh Prasaila Yadav of the Nepali Congress who got 10,198 votes.

Newly elected MP Yadav is an accused in the murder case of media entrepreneur Arun Singhania. Yadav, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Dhanusha District Court, was sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Janakpur High Court on charges of murdering media entrepreneur Singhania. Yadav has already served three years in prison. However, the case that has reached the Supreme Court, making him a defendant in the case, is still pending. 

According to the description of Yadav on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) website, it is mentioned that he has ‘more than two decades of experience in construction and business, mature leadership in operations, coordination and result-oriented management’. 

Yadav said that the development and law-making work will be carried forward by prioritizing the promises made to the voters during the election.  He also said that education, health, agriculture, employment and road construction will be prioritized .
