This time, Nepali Communist Party candidate Dhan Bahadur Budha was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the Himalayan district of Dolpa. In this election for the House of Representatives, he also defeated CPN-UML candidate Lanka Bahadur Rokaya by a margin of 1,406 votes, securing 6,802 votes. 

Rokaya received 5,396 votes. Congress candidate and his brother Karna Bahadur Budha secured third place by securing 2,947 votes. Among the other candidates, Dev Singh Aidi of the National Independent Party received 181 votes, Hari Prajatantra Party received 92 votes, independent candidate Omendra Bahadur KC received 46 votes, Bikash Budha of the Progressive Democratic Party received 21 votes, Dil Bahadur Bista of the Ujjaj Nepal Party received 11 votes, and Junu Bhandari of the Miteri Party Nepal received 2 votes.

With this victory, Budha has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Dolpa for the fourth consecutive time. Earlier, he had also won in the elections of 2070, 2074 and 2079.

Born on Falgun 7, 2031 BS in Shahartara, Kaike Rural Municipality-2, Dolpa, Budha has been active in politics since 2055 BS. After passing I.Ed, Budha is also associated with the construction business.  He initially started politics from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party. Later, in 2070 BS, he joined the CPN (UML) and entered active politics. In the second Constituent Assembly member election held in the same year, he entered national politics by being elected as a UML candidate from Dolpa. 

After the promulgation of the constitution, he also won from Dolpa in the House of Representatives member election held in 2074 BS from the CPN (UML). In 2075, after the UML and the Maoist Center merged to form the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), he joined the same party. Later, after the UML split, he joined the CPN Unified Socialists. 

Recently, he was a candidate in the 2082 BS election for the Nepali Communist Party, which was formed by the CPN Unified Socialists, CPN Maoist Center and other parties.

During his political journey, he served as the Chairman of the District Development Committee Dolpa for two terms in 2060 and 2062 BS.  After that, he entered national politics and also became the Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation from 2074 BS Falgun to 2076 BS Mangsir 4.

Along with this,  He was appointed as the Minister of Urban Development of the Government of Nepal on 23 Falgun, 2080 BS. At that time, he was made a minister when the Council of Ministers was reorganized in the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government. He participated in the government on behalf of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialists).
