Deuba also said that he had no advice on ticket distribution.
Sher Bahadur Deuba, who stepped down as party chairman following the special general convention, has told his close cadres that he will not contest the elections and will not seek a ticket.
On Tuesday morning, Congress leaders/workers from the Far West had reached his residence in Maharajgunj to meet him. A leader who reached there also said that Deuba had no advice on ticket distribution.
Recounting Deuba's statement, a Congress leader who went there said, 'I am a person who has filed a case. I will not even go to the elections. I will not even ask for a ticket.'
Congress has fielded Nain Singh Mahar as a candidate in Deuba's constituency. Deuba had also discussed this. Deuba said, 'I did not field him. He himself got the ticket by arranging it somewhere. He did not get the ticket after consulting me.'
