The Advertisement Board has urged strict adherence to the provisions related to election propaganda in the context of the election of members of the House of Representatives. 

The Board issued a notice on Monday, clarifying that propaganda can only be carried out within the specified time limit as per Chapter 4, Section 17 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082. According to the notice, propaganda is not allowed from 12 midnight on Falgun 18. 

It has been mentioned that political parties, candidates or concerned persons are not allowed to conduct any kind of programs such as meetings, interactions, seminars, workshops from 48 hours before the polling day until the polling center closes. During this period, the Board has stated that it is prohibited to post, share, respond or broadcast any message, information or propaganda material in favor or against the party or candidate through social media, online, print and other means. 

It has also been reminded that the propaganda material of the party or candidate placed within 300 meters of the polling place must be removed on the day of voting. Similarly, the notice states that advertisements other than those approved by the Election Commission Nepal and the Advertisement Board should be removed from 12 midnight on Falgun 18. 

The Board has urged not to publish and broadcast advertisements of parties or candidates through newspapers, radio, television, online media and social media from midnight today. 

The Board has warned that action will be taken in accordance with the law if any violation is made in accordance with the Election Code of Conduct, 2082, the Advertisement (Regulation) Act, 2076 BS and the Advertisement (Regulation) Regulations, 2077 BS.
