Chitwan Police has brought the former DIG of Nepal Police Chabilal Joshi, who is in the custody of Kaski Police, to Bharatpur on Sunday and started his statement in the District Public Prosecutor's office for misappropriating the savings of Sahara Chitwan Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society.

The police have also brought Ram Bahadur Khanal, another accused in this case, to Chitwan along with Joshi for a statement.

District Attorney (Government Attorney) Shantiprasad Luintel said that the statement started on Sunday afternoon. The savers filed a complaint with the Chitwan Police against the image saying that he was the then shareholder and director of Gorkha Media. An arrest warrant has also been issued against Ravi Lamichhane, the then shareholder owner and managing director of Gorkha Media, former home minister and Chitwan-2 MP Ravi Lamichhane.

Ravi Lamichhane, who was arrested by the Kaski police, is being interviewed in Kathmandu. Various investigations have shown that 100 million rupees went illegally from Chitwan Sahara to Gorkha media.
