Recently, Bernie Sanders, the influential leader of the US Upper House Senate, called it oligarchy, referring to the back-and-forth in the name of helping in the upcoming presidential election. "Democracy is not a system where billionaires buy elections, it is an oligarchy," he criticized it strongly through social media.

In the American elections that are going to be held after 9 days, various media, social media influencers, celebrities and billionaires are openly campaigning for/against the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and the Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump.

The support of celebrities and influential people has been of great importance in American elections. People and organizations with public influence in various federal and state level elections in the United States openly support the issue of being taken lightly. A research by Harvard University has confirmed that such support and propaganda can influence the vote results.

The latest example of this is singer Taylor Swift's endorsement of Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the 2020 election. After he announced that he would vote for Biden, the study proved that 35,000 Americans registered their names in the voter list. This year as well, Taylor has made it clear that she wants to elect the current vice president Harris as the future president by supporting the Democratic Party. Swift, who was one of the first celebrities to openly support Harris, showed her support through an Instagram post that took a dig at Trump and his supporters.

With singer Swift announcing her support for Harris, Democrats' campaign donations have soared. While this has buoyed Democrats for the time being, various polls so far have shown that both Trump and Harris are in a very tight race, and that the race is even stronger in undecided states called swing states. Meanwhile, Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, who has been a strong supporter of Trump since this election, has announced that he will give a reward of one million US dollars a day to one person who registers in the voter list with a promise to vote for Trump, from addressing at Trump's election rally.

Not only that, Ilan has used a lot of donations to win Trump. In the last three months alone, he has provided 75 million dollars (about 10 billion rupees) for the Trump campaign, according to the US Election Commission. Especially in the "swing state" where the results can fall anywhere, Ilan is spending millions of dollars for Trump's campaign through his super pack.

Not only that, Elon has also made some controversial posts for Trump and his vice-presidential candidate, Vance, on his own 'X'. After Trump's assassination attempt, he also gave highly criticized statements like 'no one even wanted to kill Kamala'. Along with Ilan, singer Kid Rock, former President John F. Kennedy's nephew Rob Kennedy, who returned from announcing his candidacy for president, former wrestler and reality TV star Hulk Hogan, wrestler Undertaker, actor Mel Gibson, footballer Brett Fravre, singer Kanye West, rapper and model Akbar Rose, among others. Celebrities have expressed their support for Trump and some of them have even become part of the campaign and participated in his campaign.

Most famous actors of America and especially Hollywood are standing in favor of the current vice president Harris who is standing in the presidential election field. From rapper Eminem to singer Beyoncé, media personality Oprah Winfrey, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, popstar Ser, singer John Legend, Usher, singer Cardi B, rapper Lizzo to now famous singer Cat Ellis to Hollywood actor/actress George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence. , Robert DeNiro, Anne Hathaway, singer/songwriter Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Banjovi, famous director Ken Burns among others. At the same time, singer Beyoncé participated in the election meeting held in Texas in support of Harris, and dozens of famous people, including Megan Three Stallion and Julia Roberts, have come to the election platform to ask for votes for Harris. "Harris deserves this competition and I'm ready to support her in any way I can," Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend wrote on "X."

Microsoft founder Bill Gates also said that this election was different from others, and he personally donated $50 million to a pro-Harris nonprofit, according to the New York Times. But it is mentioned in the Times news that he wants to keep it secret. Another billionaire and founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, claimed that international news organizations played a role as a sahuji in stopping the announcement of "The Washington Post" in support of Kamala Harris at the last moment. Likewise, billionaire Mark Cuban has been openly soliciting and campaigning for Democratic candidates. Michael Bloomberg, a Democrat and former mayor of New York, has provided billions of dollars to Harris' campaign.

Similarly, 79 billionaires, including former head of Facebook Sheryl Sandvarg, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, LinkedIn co-founder Red Hoffman, have donated more than one million dollars to the Democratic Party's campaign so far. Analysts say billionaires in technology and other sectors seem to be more supportive of Harris. Mainly small donors and many

Contrary to the tradition of the Democratic candidates who get the help and support of the rich, the Republican candidates have received significant support from the big rich. For example, along with Elon Musk, Miriam Adelson, who has a Jewish background, and another rich man, Dick Uehlen, have poured 220 million US dollars into the campaign to win Trump. As the American elections are approaching, the atmosphere of famous people and rich people who are in favor of the two presidential candidates is becoming interesting and watchable.
