Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled Britain for more than seven decades, died on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96. 

She is the second longest-reigning ruler in the world after Louis XIV of France. After the death of Elizabeth II, her son Charles, 73, is now the King of Britain.
