Biratnagar Kings have set a target of 136 runs against defending champions Janakpur Bolts in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025.

After Janakpur won the toss and elected to bat first, Biratnagar posted a score of 135 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.

The biggest contribution to that was made by Indian-American player Shubham Ranjan, who scored 37 runs. He faced 29 balls and hit two fours and two sixes. He was run out. Similarly, Bashir Ahmed scored 36 runs. He hit three sixes in 35 balls.

Among the openers for Biratnagar, Lokesh Bam and George Munsey scored 28 and 10 runs respectively. Martin Guptill, however, could not play a big innings and contributed only 13 runs. Among the bowlers for Biratnagar, Sangit Kori took two wickets for 26 runs and Rupesh Singh took two wickets for 12 runs. Aditya Mahata took one wicket for 16 runs.

Biratnagar has four points from two matches. Janakpur, however, has not been able to open a score account.
