Jagadish Kharel, a young candidate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has planted the blue flag in Dolakha, a stronghold of the Communist Party. He has become the youngest candidate from the district in his second attempt and the first member to represent the House of Representatives.

He was born on Chaitra 27, 2045 in the former Sunkhani Village Development Committee, now Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-8. He grew up in a rural environment and passed the entrance exam from the village's Kalinag Secondary School. At that time, he was very interested in politics and joined the Nepal Students' Organization. He was involved in the sister organization of the Nepali Congress for some time and became the president of the Kathmandu-Dolakha liaison committee of the same party.

After entering Kathmandu for higher education, he entered the hydropower construction sector with his brother Kumar Kharel after completing civil engineering. He has been working in the drinking water and industrial construction sectors along with hydropower. In 2079, Ravi Lamichhane left the Congress and joined it.

He first became a candidate for the House of Representatives election from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) in 2079. But he received 3,08 votes in the communist stronghold. Even after his defeat, he continued to participate in party work and made the people's homes and districts dense. During his door-to-door program in this election, he expressed his commitment to good governance and change to every voter.

He defeated Parbat Gurung of the CPN-UML, who has been a minister twice, and Vishal Khadka of the CPN-UML, who has been a minister in Bagmati Province, and the Nepali Congress's youth candidate, central member Ajay Babu Shiwakoti, by a large margin. He got 32,376 votes, while Parbat Gurung of the UML got 17,449 votes.

There is a difference of 14,927 votes between Kharel and Gurung. Kharel, who has been a communist since 2048 BS, has demolished it after 35 years. After being elected, he said that he would work towards good governance, control of corruption and visible changes in the development of the district.
