Harimohan Bhandari of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has won the House of Representatives in Baitadi. He was born on Magh 15, 2023 BS in Bhandari village, Patan Municipality. Bhandari started politics from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

Bhandari, who studied up to BA, continued politics by joining the Nepali Congress in 2056 BS. He became a member of the Congress three times. He had contested the Provincial Assembly elections twice before, but was defeated both times. He defeated the UML stronghold in his third attempt and won the House of Representatives from Baitadi.

Bhandari had contested three elections from different parties. In 2074 BS, he contested the Provincial Assembly elections for the first time from the Nepali Congress. In that election, he was defeated by Prem Prakash Bhatta of the Maoist Center.

Similarly, in the 2079 provincial assembly, after the Congress did not give him a ticket for the second time, he rebelled and contested the election as an independent candidate. He was defeated by Surendra Pal of the UML, who received 11,18 votes.

This time, he defeated Damodar Bhandari, who was a minister in the federal parliament three times, and famous leaders like Nepal Cricket Association President and Congress Baitadi President and former district president and NCP leader Parmananda Bhatta.

After rebelling from the Congress and giving an independent candidacy for the provincial assembly member, the Nepali Congress took action against him. Despite sitting independently, Bhandari took membership in the Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Baitadi conference on December 18.

He is currently living in Bhainsepati, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-18. He has two daughters and a wife. Bhandari is the younger brother of the elected government's Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Rajendra Singh Bhandari. His father Laxman was active in the resignation of the RPP during the Panchayat period. He says that he joined the RPP after being inspired by his father.

He is one of those who took the initiative to celebrate the Gaura festival of the Far West in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

After being elected, he said that he would fulfill his first commitment to control the rampant corruption along with serving the country and society in the coming days.

He defeated Chatur Bahadur Chand of the Nepali Congress by 3,940 votes. Bhandari got 22,134 votes while his nearest rival Chand got 18,194 votes.
