After former mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP), a wave of people has been seen in favor of this party. There was also an attempt to bring Kulman Ghising of the Ujjaya Nepal Party. After the agreement was broken once, Ghising contested the election alone and suffered defeat.

However, when party president Ravi Lamichhane was in prison, Pukar Bam was quietly working for this unity. The party had formed a dialogue committee under his leadership, which was talking to the Bibeksheel Sajha Party along with Balendra and Ghising. Ghising was initially proposed as the prime minister. Later, a committee was formed under the leadership of Swarnim Wagle for high-level discussions, saying that the talks were going in a positive direction.

Thus, Pukar Bam, who started the homework of unity in the RSWP since the president was in prison, has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 4. While Balme got 29,142 votes, Congress candidate Sachin Timalsina got 8,824 votes and UML candidate Rajan Bhattarai got 5,733 votes. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Surendra Raj Bhandari got 2,025 votes, while Nepali Communist Party's Indra Bhusal got 657 votes.

Bam, one of the founders of the Bibeksheel Party, had also filed his candidacy for the first time in the second Constituent Assembly election in 2070 BS. At that time, he had contested under the election symbol of a dog and was continuously involved in social campaigns. He had also contested from Kathmandu-8 in the House of Representatives election held in 2074 BS.

'Even during various street protests, I have seen him actively on the streets, met him and collaborated with him.' The opportunity came,' writer Sanjeev Karki wrote on social media on Facebook, 'Especially during the 'Nepal is Open' campaign launched to protest the 'Nepal Band' culture, the sight of him standing at the forefront and driving a rickshaw and protesting against the band culture had a deep impact on me.'

Karki mentioned that there was no tendency of hysteria or bigotry in Pukar, saying that he was firm in his views. Pukar was involved in the relief distribution in the 2072 BS earthquake and the campaign to feed the poor free of charge during the Corona epidemic. He was also active in the distribution of oxygen to the sick during the Corona virus epidemic.

Victory for the initiator of the RSVP-Balen-Kulman unity dialogue From the 'Occupy Baluwatar' campaign in 2069 BS, he was always involved in the campaign in favor of Dr. Govinda KC. He would also take to the streets to protest the continuous protests with various demands during the constitution-making period. Nepal is open, 'Beware leaders, when is the constitution?' He was seen at the forefront of campaigns like that.

He went on a hunger strike for 12 days demanding increased testing even during the Corona pandemic. He was involved in politics through the Bibeksheel Sajha Party and had been independent since Rabindra Mishra brought the 'change of path' document to the party. Later, he started politics through the Rastriya Swatantra Party along with Biraj Bhakta Shrestha.

Bam from Dhangadhi, Kailali, came to Kathmandu in 2059 BS to become a doctor. However, after 12 Nepalis were killed in Iraq on 16 Bhadra 2061, he turned to social work after being deployed to rescue the injured in the violence that spread in Kathmandu. Then he started raising his voice on the issue of injustice.

He, along with some friends, launched a campaign called 'Nepal Unites for Change'. During that campaign, he met Ujjwal Thapa. Later, they founded Bibeksheel Nepali together.

Some of Pukar's friends call him an opposition figure on the streets, but now, after winning the House of Representatives election, he is going to reach the House and speak out.
