According to the latest vote counting results for Sunsari Constituency-1, Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Harkaraj Rai (Sampang) is leading.
According to the office of Sunsari-1 Election Officer Divyaraj Ghimire, Shram Sanskriti Party's Sampang has received 6,279 votes out of 16,703 votes counted so far. He is 946 votes ahead of his nearest rival.
National Independent Party candidate Sarin Tamang (Goma), who took the lead in the initial phase, is in second place with 5,333 votes. Manoj Bhattarai of the Nepal Communist Party is in third place with 1,363 votes.
Tikaram Limbu of CPN-UML (Surya) has received 1,102 votes, while Sujendra Gole Tamang of Nepali Congress has received 985 votes.
Uddhav Shrestha of the RPP has received 404 votes, while Dambar Lawati of the Ujjaya Nepal Party has received 131 votes. Assistant Election Officer Bed Prasad Sapkota said that 16,703 votes have been counted so far. Of these, 15,829 votes have been validated, while 874 votes have been invalidated, he informed.
