Raswapa candidate Ramesh Kumar Sapkota has won from Surkhet-2. With Sapkota's victory in this area, which is considered a stronghold of UML and Congress, the Raswapa has won its first seat in Karnali. Sapkota secured 30,378 votes, while his rival Narayan Koirala of the Congress secured 16,196 votes. Similarly, Kulmani Devkota of the UML secured 12,891 votes, while Jhak Bahadur Malla of the NCP secured 4,587 votes. Born on 15 Mangsir 2036 in the former Satakhani VDC of Surkhet, Sapkota's family migrated to Birendranagar in 2046 BS. He has completed his studies up to SLC.
