NCP's Harijang Tamang got 3,371 votes. 2,450 votes were invalidated.
45-year-old KC is a resident of Khatrithanti (Dhodsing), Sundarbazar Municipality-6, Lamjung. KC studied at Adarsh Bal Secondary School in Sundarbazar till class 10. After passing SLC in 2053 BS, he passed IAC from Amrit Science Campus, Kathmandu. According to the then principal of the school, Ram Krishna Bhandari, he stood second in the district in SLC.
