Khadka Bahadur Budha of the Nepali Congress has won the House of Representatives election from Jajarkot. Budha has defeated his nearest rival, Shakti Bahadur Basnet of the Nepali Congress.
Budha got 20,142 votes while Basnet became the runner-up with 17,407 votes. UML's Dambar Bahadur Singh finished third with 16,883 votes. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer is yet to make an official announcement.
Budha is the acting president of the Congress Jajarkot. Budha, who entered active politics from a student organization close to the Congress, was defeated in the Shivalaya Rural Municipality election in 2074 BS.
