Bipin Kumar Acharya, 39, has set his parliamentary journey by defeating UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel by a wide margin. He has become a member of the House of Representatives by winning the election from Dang-2. Acharya, who studied engineering and management, has set his political journey to parliament through the responsibility of media management.

Born on 29 Falgun 2043 in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-12 Tarigaun to Shiv Kumar Sharma and Shanta Acharya, Acharya studied in Ghorahi. He studied from grades 1 to 5 at Annapurna Boarding School in Ghorahi and from grades 6 to 10 at Dipshikha Boarding School.

Then he graduated in Biotechnology from Rajasthan University, Pune, India and did his MBA from Kathmandu University. After studying engineering and management, he joined various professions.

Similarly, from 2012 to 2018, he taught as a guest lecturer at various colleges in Kathmandu. During that time, he also participated in writing various books. After that, he participated in hosting television shows. In 2018, he worked as the project head of franchise shows like ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’, ‘Little Champ’ and ‘Crime Patrol Nepal’.

From 2020 to 2022, he worked as the creative director of Galaxy 4K Television. During that time, he collaborated with Ravi Lamichhane and worked closely. Recalling that closeness, Lamichhane had said at an election rally held in Ghorahi, ‘I take responsibility for Bipin’s work and honesty. He is my friend in my sorrows and joys. He is the person who has supported me in every journey. Now you win, it is my role to give him the right responsibility.'

Because of winning Lamichhane's trust, he joined the work of opening the National Independent Party on 7 Ashad 2079 as a founder. He also fulfilled the responsibility of preparing the party's name, flag, logo, flag colors, election symbol and manifesto.

He became the party's Joint General Secretary from 14 Mangsir 2080. From 1 Baisakh 2082, he was given the responsibility of the Head of the Central Training Department. On 14 Pus 2082, his name was included in the proportional list, but he expressed his desire to contest the elections directly and withdrew his name on 6 Magh. He chose Dang-2 as his constituency and entered the direct election field.

Dang-2 was a challenging constituency. It was not easy to fight UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, but his efforts were successful with the support and trust given by the people. The path he chose proved to be the right one. Acharya, who has been working behind the scenes so far, has been seen in the forefront with the election. He said that he has embarked on a political journey with the main message of ‘people first, party behind’. ‘I chose Dang as a constituency to connect directly with the people. I give priority to the voice of the people,’ he said, ‘I am in favor of a real relationship with the people. I reject the politics of dynasty and inheritance.’ He has promised to represent Dang-2 honestly by focusing on transparency, accountability and inclusive development. He said that he aims to work for improvements in good governance, education, economy and public services. He said that as one of the initiators and founders of the formation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he can resonate with the aspirations of the youth and the wider community. “My leadership is driven by transparency, innovation and collaboration,” he said. “I will use my victory to drive real change based on the people.”

He said he was for a Nepal where every voice matters. “I want to build a culture where every project is visible, every budget is open, and every citizen can hold their leaders accountable,” he said. “We are committed to local development that puts people first. Delivers with transparency.”
