Election materials and staff have reached all polling stations in Dolpobudwa and Charkatangsong rural municipalities of Upper Dolpa. Chief District Officer Junu Hamal informed that election materials and staff have been sent to all 12 polling stations in the two municipalities by helicopter in 3 days.
According to her, election materials and staff have also been sent to 8 polling stations in Shey-Phoksundo rural municipality and the remaining ones will be sent to Karang, Saldang and Dhungdar in the same municipality by helicopter on Tuesday morning.
Although helicopters have been flying in Upper Dolpa since this morning, all flights have not been possible due to strong winds since the afternoon, according to Chief District Officer Hamal. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has stated that election materials and staff have reached 47 polling stations in Lower Dolpa.
There are a total of 70 permanent and temporary polling stations in Dolpa, and 383 staff have been deployed. Dolpa, which has only one constituency for the House of Representatives, has a total of 24,115 voters. Of which 12,187 are women and 11,928 are men.
