The National Independent Party has nominated mountaineer Mingma Sherpa, who created history by successfully climbing all 14 mountains above 8,000 meters in the world, as its candidate.
District President Bhaktarayan Shrestha said that the Sherpa of Makal Rural Municipality-1, Balung, has been selected as a candidate from the National Independent Party to represent Sankhuwasabha in the elections to be held on Falgun 21.
He said that the Sherpa believes in service over access and that his clear political vision is to establish a corruption-free government, ensure good governance, and protect democracy.
