UML General Convention: 9 candidates filed nominations for central member positions from East Nawalparasi alone

Nine candidates from East Nawalparasi have filed their candidacies for the position of central member for the 11th general convention of UML being held in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur. Six of them are residents of Kawasoti Municipality.

Engineer Dipendra Sunari, who is also the elected chairman of Bulingtar Rural Municipality, has also announced his candidacy for the central member of the tribal cluster. Sunari, 30, is the youngest candidate from UML to become a central member. He responded over the phone that he is a young candidate for this general convention.

‘I am the youngest municipal chairman in the country,’ he said, ‘I was 27 when I won the rural municipality chairmanship.’ Similarly, Provincial Assembly member Roshan Bahadur Gaha Magar has also filed his candidacy for the central member from the tribal cluster.

Provincial Assembly member Padma GC Shrestha from East Nawalparasi has filed her candidacy for the Central Accounts Commission member. Similarly, leaders Tilak Mahat and Muktiram Pandey have filed their candidacy for the central member of the geography section from Gandaki Province.

Leaders Krishna Poudel, Bhagirath Sapkota, Rabindra Adhikari, and Jesus chief Baburam Bishwakarma have filed their candidacies for the Dalit central member.
