Secretary of Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, Suresh Kumar Mandal, has alleged that the Gaur incident was raised when his party did not support the government on the land bill. He made such allegations while addressing the Madhesh Province Convention of Nepal held at Mirchaiya in Siraha on Tuesday.

He alleges that the government brought the land bill in the interests of brokers and middlemen and used the weapon of the Gaur incident to provoke them when they did not support it. "The government has to serve as an intermediary, we did not accept it, we withdrew the support given to the government," he said, "but the government used the weapon of Gaur incident to torture us." "We are protestors," he said, "no matter what tactics the government takes, we will not deviate from our stance." Similarly, he expressed regret that the Madhesh movement has led the country on the path of change and that it is being tried to be criminalized.
