A bench of Justice Nripadhwaj Niraula has summoned both parties for discussion on the writ petition filed by blacklisted Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh candidate Kishori Sah Kamal on February 29.
The order states, '... Considering the sensitivity and seriousness of the subject, it is appropriate to reach a conclusion after listening to the Election Commission and considering the decision to reject the candidacy of the petitioner, and therefore, for that purpose, a priority date of 2082.11.29 is fixed for the discussion, and the opposing party should bring the file of the decision of the opposing party dated 2082.11.18 regarding the rejection of the candidacy of the petitioner, and submit it as per the rules.'
Although the candidacy of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh candidate Sah in Dhanusha-1 was rejected, the Election Commission has not made the voting results public since he got the most votes. The Nepali Communist Party, on the other hand, has objected to the fact that its candidate Matrika Yadav, who won the House of Representatives seat in Dhanusha-1, has not yet been given a certificate of election.
