In the northern region of Dolpa, there has been a dispute and clash between the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and UML cadres over the election.
Around 2 pm on Monday, the dispute and clash broke out after the UML campaign team was talking to local leaders about the election when the NCP leaders and activists pelted stones, Pralopa candidate Bikash Budha informed.
According to him, some UML cadres were injured while fleeing the stone-pelting.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Ruk Bahadur Khadka said that the dispute occurred when the cadres of both parties met on the road during the campaign. He also informed that a police team has been deployed to investigate the incident.
The security forces in Saldang said that although tension had been created for some time after the dispute, the situation has now normalized.
According to security personnel, after the clash, UML leaders and activists returned to Dho Valley of Dolpo Buddha Rural Municipality via Rapgaun in the same municipality.
