Protesters were beaten up while setting fire to police circle Maharajgunj. He died in the process. The photo video of Milan being dragged on the street and beaten to death with a stick is on social media.

32-year-old police assistant constable Amrit Gurung was attacked by protesters on 25 August while he was on duty at the Koteshwar police station. Even when he tried to escape, he did not escape. Police constable Uttam Thapa working in Maharajgunj police circle lost his life in an attack by protesters on 24 August. His brother died just 7 months ago when he fell from a tree while cutting grass.
The mother of two children is now alone in the village. Uttam's father had already died due to diabetes. Uttam's job was running his house. Darchula Lekam Rural Municipality 3, Gumakholi house, Thapa family does not even have land for cultivation.
30-year-old Uttam had been in police service for 9 years. "He kept telling me that he would come home after 4 days," said Suresh Thapa, the president of his ward.
