Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party (New Power) and former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that an environment should be created to support the Prime Minister to stand up and talk with Dahra in the national interest. He said that the trade agreement between China and India through Lipulek has harmed the geographical integrity of Nepal and said that it is necessary to talk to both neighbors clearly without bending over backwards.

Former Prime Minister Bhattarai  He said that since Nepal is in Chepuwa situation from both neighbors, it should be resolved through diplomatic and political dialogue.

'The ability of political leadership is to turn challenges into opportunities . We will also talk separately with China, we will also talk separately with India, and if possible, we will solve it by sitting together with the three parties . Current problems can be turned into great opportunities by taking strategic steps with intelligence and ingenuity. We are not going to bend, these facts and evidence are our borders. How did you do it without asking . It should be said that this was not done. Our Prime Minister should be supported to stand up and talk with Dahro in the national interest,' he said.

In 2020, the border was closed for commercial purposes after a clash between the soldiers of two Asian powers in eastern Ladakh. Last December, India and China had reached an agreement to resume the movement of Indian pilgrims going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through this crossing without the knowledge of Nepal.

To keep it in your own interest, in your own interest . In our practical life, the same relationship we have with our neighbors, the same relationship will be between countries. They have their own interests, we have our own interests . Relationships are to be maintained according to where self-interest meets.

We are with countries with big economies like India and China. China is becoming the first economy after 10 years. India is becoming a fast economy. It is a great opportunity for us to be among these countries. If we can maintain relations with both neighbors in terms of competitive advantage, we can reach a developed state in two decades . For that, it is not necessary to cry that 'it did this' . Who helps by crying ? In our own interests, we will not bow down to anyone, and we will not bark even if we bark .

If we can adopt a policy of not teasing anyone, not needlessly harassing anyone, we can advance relations with both India and China . However, there have been some border disputes since our beginning. When the Chinese foreign minister went to India, the agreement to do bilateral trade from Lipulekh came into controversy. It was an old dispute. Therefore, border disputes, open border disputes, economic trade issues, transport facility issues - I had started by forming an 'EPG Group' to resolve these issues through negotiations in a comprehensive manner and the state would make a decision, but it could not be completed . India and China will also work in their own interest . Now they are becoming a big emerging world power .

Now again, the US is trying to disturb the economy of India and China by imposing more taxes, so it seems that they have come together . Friendship is better than quarrel between two neighbours. It will be beneficial for us to have good relations with India and China. However, if we do not adopt the right policy, India and China will get along, but we will fall behind . Our anger doesn't matter because they are great powers . Therefore, the issue of opening a trade route through our territory is serious. Instead of crying about it, you have to make your stand clear .

Historically, it is written in Article 5 of the Sugauli Treaty that the Kali River is the border — it is an international recognition that the river is the border. There is evidence that the section of the river coming out of Limpiyadhura is the Kali river. Due to not paying attention to this in time, India captured Kalapani, pushed further east and claimed the current Lipulek route as its own . China also recognized India's claim on the map made in 2080.
