40-year-old Ram Bahadur Singh of Jajarkot Kushe Rural Municipality, Dargaon, left Uttarakhand with his family of five last February. After the moneylender took possession of the house, he took his children and wife and went to Uttarakhand to work as a laborer. Ram Bahadur, who went to Uttarakhand with his three children and his wife, leaving his eldest daughter and youngest son in Surkhet's Birendranagar, died within five months.

The village house is locked. The farm is in the possession of the creditor . The eldest daughter of Ram Bahadur, who was teaching her brother in Birendra Nagar of Surkhet, says that her parents went to Uttarakhand for work after the moneylender took over the house. "My father used to say that the land can be returned from the moneylender by earning money day and night for a family of five". However, my father's dream remained incomplete,' she said, 'my family was taken away by God . It is said that he was kidnapped from the hotel where his uncle, cousin's son and aunts were staying with his father.'

In Dharali of Harshil region in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India After heavy rain It has been four days since the severe flood occurred. The flood in Kheerganga river has devastated the Dharali market. The information is coming from various areas where there are Nepali workers in that area . But their condition is still unknown.

Although the local level and district administration of various districts suspected that they had disappeared in the flood of Dharali, it has not yet been confirmed by any agency that Nepalis did not fall in the flood. "We have received information that the Nepalese workers working in the apple orchards in Dharali area are safe," Uttarkashi District DSP Janak Pawar said, "but we have not been able to contact the owners and mates of the apple orchards." He said that due to the road being blocked, there is also a problem in resuming search and rescue services which have been blocked.

"Until now, the bodies of 2 people have been recovered, both of them are locals," DSP Pawar said, "372 people have been rescued from the said area by helicopter and taken to a safe place." There are no Nepalis among those rescued. Most are pilgrims .

According to DSP Pawar, 30/35 hotels in Dharali area have been destroyed by the flood of Kheerganga river. Some hotels and houses were washed away and taken to Bhagirathi river. The flooded Gegran has eroded up to 30/35 meters . Three/four storied hotels are also available. He said that it is estimated that at least 50 people are missing.

"There have been reports of Nepali workers in the hotels, but it is not possible to say what their condition is," said Pawar, "After the electricity is restored, the phone service will also start, then something will come out." According to him, it can be assumed that there are at least two/three workers in every hotel. There is no information whether those workers managed to escape somewhere or were swept away in the flood.

The Nepali Embassy in Delhi has received news that 22 people have gone missing due to landslides in Uttarakhand. Out of which 5 people have gone missing due to the landslide in Paudigarhwal of Bardia. Counselor Prakash Malla of the embassy said that no information has been received regarding the whereabouts of other Nepalis. According to

mall, the embassy has received information about the disappearance of 13 people from Jajarkot and 4 people from Dhading. "We are also coordinating with the Indian security agencies and the administrative agencies of the affected areas," he said, "but so far, we have only received information that the details have not been collected as to how much damage was done in the Dharali flood and how many are missing." Because of this, it is not possible to search by hand in the flooded area . The video of Chinook helicopter delivering equipment including backloaders for search and rescue in the area has gone viral on social media.

Army and police, NDRF, SDRF and other teams have been mobilized for search and rescue. Helicopters are also being used for rescue. The work of rescuing those trapped on the Gangotri route is also being done by helicopter.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkarsingh Dhami has inspected the Dharali area. He also met the relatives of the injured and missing families with the security agencies involved in the rescue.

Dharali is a small market on the Bhagirathi bank on the Rishikesh-Gangotri route. Dharali market was devastated by the flood that occurred after the 'cloud burst' on Tuesday afternoon in the Khirganga river which flows through the middle of the market. So far, the exact details of how many houses and hotels have been damaged in Dharali have not been collected. Gangotri is at a distance of 20 km from Dharali.

This is the season to visit Char Dham region including Gangotri. A large number of pilgrims also visit Gangotri. It is believed that even the pilgrims who are on the Gangotri Yatra may have been affected by the Dharali flood. However, the police have not confirmed anything about this.

Along with the Gangotri Yatra, Nepalese also go to that area for road construction, carrying heavy passengers and hotels and picking apples. In this way, it is suspected that even the Nepalese people who have reached the area have been affected by the flood, but it has not been confirmed from anywhere so far.
