Vijay Dhakal, who was born in Putlibazar municipality-8 of Syangja, was killed by the then royal army at a place called Samni in Nirmalpokhari, Kaski on 29th of December 2016. Vijay, who was politically conscious from an early age, was also excellent in studies. Because the family environment was political, he joined the Maoist movement for change. Despite his young age, Vijay, who held the leadership of the party district, caught the eye of the royal army.

His father Ghanshyam Dhakal is a professor by profession. Ghanshyam, who was teaching at the PN campus in Pokhara, helped the Maoist movement by writing. Vijay was also influenced by Babu's politics.

As the family migrated to Pokhara, Vijay started a public war from Kaski in 2056. Vijay became the district secretary of the Kaski Party at the age of 27 after being a central member of Akhil Krantikari, a student organization close to the Maoist center. Friends who remember him now also remember him as a fearless and outspoken speaker. Ghanshyam also died in a road accident at the age of 58 while celebrating the People's War in 2068.

Vijay's mother Paru Dhakal complains that the names of the martyrs who lost their lives in the change movement have been erased rather than Vijay's death. 69-year-old Dhakal of Pokhara Metropolitan City-8 Ratnachowk says, "Desire is on one side, pain on the other". If she had a son, she would have been a daughter-in-law at home now. There were grandchildren. I am proud of those who lost their lives fighting for change. But what is the reason for the change that the son died rather than the pain that the son died? There is concern that the dream has not left the road.'

Vijay also went to Parvat, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Rupandehi and worked. Lately, when the political party has lost the path shown by the martyr, the martyr's family is suffering a lot. Paru says. He was upset that the government did not address the families of the martyrs.

"We don't expect to benefit," she says, "I think other people would not have lost their lives if they fought for their rights like my son." The martyrs who fought for the change of the country will be hurt more than the martyrs of the party.' She also complained about Congress-UML referring to them as martyrs of Maoists. "Right now, there is only business in the name of martyrs," she said. ”They say martyrs are from Congress, UML and Maoist, which is wrong”

38-year-old Anita Bhurtel of Pokhara Metropolitan City-5 Parsang lost both her parents during the civil war. When she was 16 years old, she was brutally murdered by the then royal army on 2061 Baisakh 31 . Anita says that mother Sita was brutally murdered while going to meet her father Rajvikram (Indrajit) Bhurtel, who was kidnapped by the army.

"My father also fought in the movement of 2046," Anita remembers, "He was in jail from 2043 to 2046". He was freed from prison after the 046 movement.'

Indrajit, who was in charge of Kaski district, was weakened by the army and killed his wife to get party information. Anita says, "The army raped me in front of my father!" Then brutally murdered. We came to know only after the death. Vijay gave the information to Anita in the West Regional Hospital.

"Vijay Dai did not say that his parents were killed," she remembers. Anita, who reached the hospital, was not allowed to see the dead bodies of her parents. Where was the body taken? What was done? She said that she does not know even now. "The body was not in a condition to be seen, that's why it was not shown to me," she said crying, "I didn't even get to see the last glimpse." It remained the same.'

Anita has 3 sisters and a brother . Anita, who took charge of the house at the age of 16, complained that she did not get support even from the party after the death of her parents. "Earlier, it was my house where the leaders ate and stayed," she says, "even after the death of my parents, the leaders used to come to my house to eat and stay." After that, they never remembered that Shaheed was a family.' She complained that the family of Shaheed was under the leader's shadow saying that the leader's relatives were taking benefits by establishing an institution in the name of Shaheed.

Indrajit was underground since 2052 . He was taken to Pokhara-23 and killed. Anita takes pride in the movement for change. However, he is upset that the movement could not be protected. She says that martyrdom has not been explained to the new generation. She complained about the categorization of martyrs. Anita Shahid Foundation is also the president of Pokhara metropolis.

The subject of martyrdom should also be addressed in the local curriculum, says Srekan Dhakal of Pokhara-8. He argues that all the martyrs who lost their lives in favor of change in 2007, anti-panchayat movement 2018, 2036, 2046, Jhapa movement and people's war should be honored. "They say Shahid belongs to Congress, UML and Maoist," she says, "This is wrong." They are said to be martyrs of Congress in 2007, martyrs of UML of Jhapa movement and martyrs of Maoists in the people's war. Why was the country's party made?'

She lost her brother during the civil war. After the death of the eldest child of the family, all the responsibilities of the family had to be taken care of. Srijana has a sister . He said that the dream of a martyr cannot be fulfilled while taking benefits from the government. What can be the means of establishing martyrdom? Are political parties honest about martyrdom? Let's not think about this! She said, "The main thing is politics". Politics is not correct. How will the dreams of martyrs come true?'

She says that the dreams of martyrs are on one side and the government's focus is on businessmen. Shahid's family says that if basic needs are addressed, there will never be complaints. Their demand is that education and health should be free for the families of the martyrs and that the government should provide employment.
