Mohan Mallah, a student of Janata Mavi, Tilottama Municipality-13 Tindhura, Rupandehi, and his friend have made an 'Obstacles Avoiding Robotic Car'. When the driverless car detects an obstacle in front while it is driving, it starts driving in a different lane by playing an 'alert tone'. The robot is programmed to move on the road and change lanes with a computer programming set.
A crowd of public school teachers, students, public representatives and municipal employees gathered in Tilotta on Saturday to see the car and listen to the information given by the sailor. Mallah, who is pursuing a diploma in civil engineering, and his team prepared the car in two days.
Like them, Khagendra Gautam and his friend, studying in class-10 at Durga Sanskrit Ved Vedang Vidyapeeth in Tilottama-14, Durganagar, performed Vedic material. 40 community schools participated in the student exploration and entrepreneurship program organized by Tilottama Municipality. They said that apart from studying, they do creative work as part of extracurricular activities at school and show such creations on various platforms. In the
program, students demonstrated the process of generating electricity by storing air, a school model in Haravara city, a dustbin with sensors from a computer program, a signature model of Tinau Bridge, a door model with a finger print lock system, etc.
Narayan Aryal, Chief Administrative Officer of Tilottma Municipality said that this program has helped students to focus on new dimensions and work towards it. He also claimed that Tilottama Municipality is engaged in discussions to move forward by including the subject in the upcoming policy and program to become a research-oriented municipality.
