At a time when political instability is increasing frustration among citizens, the exemplary work of some local governments has preserved faith in the system.

When the federal government has become so distant that the people cannot meet it, it is the local level that has brought power to the people. The local level has done exemplary work in the economic self-reliance, health, education, agriculture and personality development of the people.

Even when the federal government is confused, the local level has made the people realize that 'there is a government'. The role of the government that is available at the doorstep is making the lives of the citizens easier. When we observe the multifaceted efforts that 753 municipalities are making for the easy life of the people, we feel that the local level is maturing and is earning the trust of the people.

The local government is making the people fully use their rights, enhance their capacity, earn money and participate in social work. Therefore, local governments have become the arteries of democracy. In this issue of 'Koseli', we have presented some exemplary stories of how our municipalities are making the lives of the people easier and leading them towards self-reliance.
