Introducing a new generation in Palanti

The Plenty series, which is being operated by Nepalaya, has started again. This musical program, which was previously interrupted by Covid, has started after about 6 years. Singer, musician and coordinator of Plenty Abhas said that the new series of Plenty has come with the performance of new generation talent.

Abhigya Ghimire and Benup Chhetri gave a 2-hour musical performance at the 'R Workshop' held at Nepalaya's office in Kalikasthan, Kathmandu. Abhigya and Benup performed as a tribute to the late singer/singer who had previously performed at Palanti.

Fatteman Rajbhandari, Kumar Subba, Premadhwaj, Bhim Virag, Amar Gurung, Yogesh Vaidya, Ramman Trishit, Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Meera Thapa, Vinod Syangden and others through their performances. Earlier, 56 singers have given musical performances in

plenty series. A performance titled 'Flower' was performed in memory of 11 singers, singers and musicians who passed away associated with Plenty.  For

, even in the meantime, the Plenty series was happening sporadically. However, now the aim is to do the series on the last Friday of the English month. We invited our regular audience to the program on Friday and Saturday. Now that's the ticket,'' Abhas said, 'We have done this program especially in memory of the deceased artists associated with Palenti.' With the program in its 20th year, the organizing organization Nepalaya aims to hold this series every month from now on.

Most of the songs in Friday and Saturday's performances were related to flowers. Abhas also wrote an essay on flowers. The same essay was presented along with the reading. In the lyrical essay style, they give the impression that they have started plenty this time. The essay was about the late artist. More than 90 spectators attended the Saturday and Friday events. This series of Palanti was held at 'R Shala'. Plenty will be held in that hall from now on.

Nepali modern music has been making its own genre. Avaas opened this platform for itself when it was founded in 2005. In 2005, Abhas performed his only performance throughout the year. Since 2006, Plenty has become a platform for old artists outside and inside Nepal. Where Palenti has been giving a platform to old artists who have gained fame by singing songs but are now in the shadows.

'Nepali modern music is a genre we have been listening to for a long time. This music is an original and creative composition. It also included literature and music. As I am working in the same genre, I thought that this campaign would not work alone, so we started the series together with Nepalaya,' Abhas remembers the moment of establishing Plenty.  Fatteman gave a presentation at the beginning when he started Palenti together with

Nepalaya. At that time, Abhas rarely appeared on the outside stage, he was absorbed in sadhana. At that time, Nepali suggested the idea of giving a platform to old artists in this way and Palenti started. Abhas has fulfilled the responsibility of combining these old artists in Palenti.

'Singing on stage was not very common in Nepal's modern music. However, they got to give a solo performance in Palenti. It was hard to convince them for it at first. However, gradually the artist himself became ready,'' said Abhas. Now, he feels that the opportunity will be given to connect the new generation with the old generation.
