The National Ghazal Festival organized by Kavidanda Sahitya Samaj at Lanka in Chitwan on Saturday has released a 12-point conclusion paper. The society organized debates, discussions and recitals on ghazals throughout the day.

The society has issued a conclusion paper in the interest of Nepali ghazal, respecting and accepting the glorious heritage of the Nepali ghazal writing tradition that has developed since the beginning of Adi ghazal writer Motiram Bhatt and continued through the renaissance.

Regarding the stylistic diversity of Nepali ghazal writing, it is mentioned in the conclusion paper that various views and opinions have come to the surface and one side has put the existence of the other side under question and doubt. But the society says that considering the scope of classical and original practice, the depth and weight of the content, the ideas and arguments presented are considered a natural process of freedom and development of the creator.

The society pointed out that there is a need for the initiative and practice of all initiators and parties in this regard, concluding that the differences of opinion and misunderstandings that appear from time to time among ghazal artists are created due to the lack of meeting, dialogue, discussion and co-practice. "According to classical belief, bahar and chand are essential elements of ghazal, but we accept bahar and non-bahar ghazal as priceless assets," the conclusion says.  Ghazal writer Gyanuwakar Paudel said in the

program that Sana Jhina, Masina Kura brought controversy in Ghazal. He said that the feeling that ghazals that are not written in verse should not be printed or sung is an extreme thought. Paudel said, "Those who hold such views in ghazal are extremists." Deepak Kumar Khadka, while submitting a paper on ghazals in the program, said that there are distinctive features of Nepali ghazals such as rhythm variety, oral presentation art.  LB Chhetri, president of Kavidanda Sahitya Samaj, was of the opinion that it is necessary to make a common opinion through a comprehensive discussion to remove the confusion about

ghazal. Kavidanda National Literary Award was also given to senior ghazal writers Gnyanuwakar Paudel, Govindaraj Vinodi, Ghanshyam Sakhari, Bund Rana and Krishnahari Baral.
