In Duhu rural municipality-5 by-election of ward president, three major parties of the district, including one independent, have registered their candidacy.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer informed that all the candidates attended the office of the Chief Electoral Officer at the specified time on Sunday and registered their nominations.
Dhansingh Kunwar of Congress, Mansingh Badal from UML, Lal Bahadur Kunwar independently and Birsingh Karki from Maoist Center have registered nominations for the post of Ward President, Chief Electoral Officer Pushparaj Pandey said. According to him, all the candidates have registered their nominations with their supporters and proposers.
A total of 1,272 voters including 649 men and 623 women will be able to vote in the by-election for the post of ward chairman in Duhu-5.
