Lumbini, who were at the bottom last year, had lost 6 out of 7 matches in the league stage . But Lumbini won the match against Chitwan by 33 runs . In the only match Lumbini won, captain Rohit Poudel scored 80 runs in 57 balls and took 4 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs .
Chitwan continued the same in Thursday's match . Rohit shared a 60-run partnership with Gulbadin Naib for the fourth wicket in 41 balls to give Chitwan a comfortable victory . Rohit scored 39 runs in 44 balls and hit 1 four .
Naib played an unbeaten innings of 44 runs. He scored 44 runs off 24 balls with 3 fours and a six. JJ Smith remained unbeaten on 4 runs. He scored the winning run by hitting a four. Chitwan's Region Dhakal took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 3 overs and Sohail Tanbir took 1 wicket.
Region dismissed both Lumbini openers. D'R Shott was out for 11 with 1 six and a four, while Sandeep Jora was out for 28 runs off 18 balls with 4 fours. Dilip Nath was run out for 10 runs while trying to take the third run.
