Prime Minister Sushila Karki has inaugurated the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (Cricket). Prime Minister Karki inaugurated the NPL by visiting the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Stadium on Monday and introducing the players of the competing teams Kathmandu Gorkhas and Janakpur Bolts.

 

Kathmandu captain Karan won the toss and decided to field against defending champions Janakpur in the opening match.  Last season, Janakpur defeated Kathmandu by 5 wickets during their title journey. 

From the Kathmandu team, Karan KC, along with Aakash Tripathi, Bhim Sarki, Santosh Yadav, Adil Ansari, Rashid Khan, Shahab Alam, Ricardo Vasconcelos, Ben Charlesworth, Gerhard Erasmus and Milind Kumar are playing from the playing 11. 

Similarly, from Janakpur, Asif Sheikh, captain Anil Sah, Kishore Mahato, Lalit Rajbanshi, Mayan Yadav, Vikas Agri, Rupesh Singh, Lahiru Milantha, Lahiru Samrakoon, Yan Nicole Lofty Eaton, Sanjay Krishnamurthy are playing from the playing 11.
