On this day (June 3) in 1971, Imran Khan made his debut in international cricket for the first time. At the age of 19, Khan played an international match for the Pakistan cricket team against England.
Born on October 5, 1952 in Lahore, Khan started playing cricket at the age of 16. Khan was the captain of Pakistan cricket team from 1982 to 1992. Under his leadership, the Pakistani cricket team won the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
Khan is also the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from August 2018 to April 2022. Khan, who retired from cricket in 1992, opened the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996.
The party that won the only seat in 2002 boycotted the 2008 elections. In the 2018 elections, Khan became the Prime Minister of the coalition government after becoming the first party.
