Maisa Chaudhary of Belauri Municipality-7 Singhpur joined the Maoists when she was a 7th grade student. At that time, Maoist leaders used to come and go in her house. Chaudhary was the area commander in the village. He used to make Maisa the mail carrier of other leaders.
Maisa, who got involved in the Maoist armed war while working as a postman, has now entered the parliament. The Nepal Communist Party made her an MP from the proportional quota. After the peace process, Chaudhary, who was busy with household chores, became active in politics again. She is very happy that the NCP made Chaudhary an MP.
Chaudhary's maternal home is Ranamuda village, Kailari Rural Municipality-1, Kailali. She joined the Maoists from there. After being active in various party organizations, Maisi became busy with household chores after marriage. After the birth of her children, she started raising them. Her husband started farming.
‘After marriage, I lost contact with the party for some time,’ said Chaudhary. ‘When my children grew up, I came back to look for the party I had contributed to, and the party also gave me due respect and responsibility.’ Chaudhary, who joined the Maoist war against discrimination and oppression, says she will now contest in parliament. She said that she will take initiative for the development of this area as it is under oppression from the entire Far West state.
Chaudhary’s husband Karna farms in the village. After becoming a company commander of the People’s Liberation Army, he voluntarily returned home after the peace process. He returned home and started farming. After that, Maisa and Karna got married. They now have 1 daughter and 2 sons.
Maisa is currently a member of the Kanchanpur District Committee of the NCP. She had also been the city and district president of the Mahila Sangh. After being inactive in the meantime, she reached the district committee through the ward city again.
