Matrika Yadav (78 years old), who started her political journey by joining the Nepali Congress in 2033 BS during the movement against the Panchayat system, has won from Dhanusha Constituency No. 1.

Yadav won by securing 10,428 votes. His nearest rival, Congress candidate Rampaltan Sah, got 9,485 votes. In Dhanusha-1, the candidacy of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Kishori Sah Kamal was rejected. Despite her rejection, the votes were cast. This is the fourth parliamentary trip for Nepali Communist Party leader Yadav, a resident of Dhanusha Sabila. This is the second time that Yadav, a member of the Interim Legislative Assembly and once a proportional representation MP, has won directly. Yadav, who was in the Congress during the Panchayat period, left after BP Koirala's reconciliation policy. He was a member of the Interim Legislative Assembly in 2063 and became a proportional representation member in the 2064 Constituent Assembly. Similarly, in 2074, he won in Dhanusha-1 but lost in 2079.

He resigned as a minister in 2065 after falling out with party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. In the same year, in 2065, he reorganized the NCP (Maoist) and became its coordinator. After 8 years, he returned to the CPN (Maoist Center) in 2073.

He participated in the fourth general convention of the CPN in 2034. In addition to participating in the movement of 2035/2036, he also participated in the Matrika referendum. Yadav, who became the president of the Free Union of Siraha Campus twice, also faced jail time when he joined communist politics.

In 2050/2051, he joined the Unity Center led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal. When the Unity Center turned into the CPN-Maoist and launched an underground rebellion in 2051, Yadav was given the command of Dhanusha. Yadav, who has been a member of the Maoist armed struggle and the negotiation committee since then, has become a minister three times after joining the Maoist mainstream politics.
