The National Independent Party (NISP) has appealed to the winning candidates not to hold victory processions and Abir Jatras. In a video message, NISP Vice President DP Aryal appealed to the winning candidates not to hold victory processions due to responsibilities such as the Gen-G rebellion, the events in the Middle East, good governance and the need to control corruption.
Stating that there were instructions from party President Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah, Aryal said, "We are not in the mood to create excitement and hold Abir Jatras. We have a lot of work to do now. After the work, the day will finally come for Abir Jatras. For now, I appeal to all candidates not to hold any rally except to thank voters and well-wishers at the counting center," he said.
