84-year-old KC, who is known for his original style and realistic commentary on politics, did not directly run for the House of Representatives this time, citing family reasons.

Chitra Bahadur KC, the chairman of the National People's Front, who is seen opposing federalism in parliament and on the streets, is a proportional candidate in this election.
KC, who has an original style and a habit of making realistic comments on politics, did not run for the House of Representatives directly this time citing family reasons.
KC, who emerged in national politics since 2051, has been continuously active in parliamentary politics since 2056. KC was elected to the Constituent Assembly in 2064 and 2070 and the parliamentary elections in 2079 from Baglung constituency number 1. Still, if KC wanted, the Rastriya Janamorcha was not in a position to put forward another candidate. After KC was not a candidate in the House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21, the central secretary of the Rastriya Janamorcha, Krishna Adhikari, has stood up in his constituency. 'For many years, KC worked in the parliamentary field, now a new friend has arrived,' said Tej Bahadur Thapa, district president of the Rastriya Janamorcha. 'We have decided to keep KC in the proportional representation and give new friends an opportunity directly.'
Some people comment that other candidates do not have the same presence as KC. In the 2006 Constituent Assembly election, KC defeated Congress candidate Manibhadra Sharma Kandel. Kandel, who lost by a narrow margin, even went to court against KC. But the then Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala accepted KC's presence in national politics and withdrew the case.
President KC said that he did not become a direct candidate this time due to family reasons, not age. 'There is no question of being disqualified due to age, my wife is ill, so I did not get time to go out,' KC said, 'Those who cannot work are also disqualified in politics.'
He said that only those who make unnecessary comments said that Chitra Bahadur has become old, he did not stand up due to age. ‘The opposition parties do not have an agenda to weaken the Rajmo, that is why they talked about age,’ he said, ‘No one can question the Rajmo in the name of good governance.’
Chairman KC was the principal of Galkot Secondary School here before entering politics. Nepali Communist Party leader Jhalanath Khanal was a science teacher with him. This time, there was talk that the NCP was going to field Khanal as a candidate in this area, but it did not happen. Both of them are not candidates in the places where they started the movement against the Panchayat and lived underground.
In the politics of the National Janamorcha, districts including Baglung and Pyuthan are the most talked about. After 2046 BS until 2079 BS, there were other parties against the Rastriya Janamorcha in the politics of the district. Since the votes of the Rastriya Janamorcha were significant, there was a tough competition from other parties. In Baglung constituency number 1, other parties other than the Congress never contested the election as competitors with the Rastriya Janamorcha.
In the last election, the Rastriya Janamorcha participated in an alliance with the Congress. Only then did the UML become a competitor. While KC got 21,400 votes, UML's Surya Pathak got 18,900 votes. While the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh got 9,000 votes. It is said that the majority of these votes went to the Congress. Workers claim that the votes were divided because the Congress tried to contest alone and had to give them to the Rastriya Janamorcha due to the alliance at the center.
In the upcoming election, NCP leader and former Education Minister Dinnath Sharma is also sitting here on a proportional representation basis. Despite reaching the top level in politics, he has not won the election directly. Sharma, who came with a ticket to the second Constituent Assembly in 2070, returned to Baglung without coming. Sharma has already become the spokesperson and secretary of the then Maoists.
Another former education minister, Devendra Poudel, has left Baglung despite contesting for the third time this time. He is a candidate from Nawalparasi. Poudel won the election from Baglung constituency number 2 only from the Left alliance in 2074 and the 5-party alliance in 2079. Poudel is also a leader who has become the secretary of the Maoists.
Currently, through the alliance of the NCP and the National Janamorcha, Krishna Adhikari of the National Janamorcha is the candidate in constituency number 1 and Gyamnath Gaire of the NCP is the candidate in constituency number 2. All other parties have separate candidates. The Congress has fielded Bhim Shrish in constituency number 1 and Tekraj Poudel in constituency number 2. Shrish is the former president of Tribhuvan University and a central member of the Congress, while Poudel was also elected a central member from the special general convention.
UML has fielded Hira Bahadur KC in Constituency No. 1 and Manju Chalise in Constituency No. 2. KC was the district president before last Mangsir, while Chalise is a central member.
RSP has fielded Sushil Khadka in Constituency No. 1 and Som Sharma in Constituency No. 2. Both are known as activists on social media.
RPP has fielded Kalyanbitram Acharya in Constituency No. 1 and Anchal Shahi in Constituency No. 2.
