UML General Secretary and Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel has registered his candidacy from Constituency No. 2 at the office of the Returning Officer in Ghorahi.
His nominees are UML leaders Shambhu Gautam and supporter Laxman Acharya.

Nirmal Acharya, a central member and Dang district in-charge from the Nepali Communist Party, is registering his candidacy. Acharya was defeated from this constituency in the 2070 Constituent Assembly election.
Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya is registering his candidacy from the National Independent Party. Acharya is a new candidate. A resident of Dang, he withdrew his name from the proportional list and started contesting the election directly.
