The unity efforts within the Congress have had an impact on ticket distribution. While other parties have finalized their candidates, the Congress has not been able to finalize the ticket distribution. General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire said that all constituencies will be finalized by the evening.

The ongoing talks with former president Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Shekhar Koirala for an agreement have also affected the ticket distribution.

After Deuba was ready to move forward with the agreement, Balkrishna Khand and Ramesh Lekhak from his side and Minendra Rijal from another leader Shekhar Koirala have participated in the ticket distribution. 'The work of ticket distribution is progressing through Khand and Lekhak from Deuba's side and Minendra Rijal from Shekhar Koirala's side,' said another official of the Congress establishment party, 'We will finalize it by this evening.'

The ticket distribution in the Himalayan and high hilly regions was roughly finalized on Sunday evening. However, it has not been made public as amendments need to be made in some places for unity within the party. Meanwhile, leader Shekhar Koirala's secretariat has stated that there has been no contact or conversation with anyone elected from the special general convention through any means.

'As far as Dr. "There is news that Shekhar Koirala and Gagan Thapa will join hands, but there is no truth to it," Koirala's secretariat said. "There is a rush of leaders from all over the country to ask for tickets. But there is no information yet about where, how and on what criteria the tickets are being distributed."
