Sudhan Gurung, leader of the Gen-G movement, has joined the National Independent Party. Gurung joined the party after reaching the Rashtriya Swatantra Party central office on Sunday.
Stating that he has joined the party, Sudhan has said that he will be a candidate for the House of Representatives from Gorkha. Sudhan said that he has come to the conclusion that he will be a candidate after discussing with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah. 'I joined the RSS today. I will be a candidate for the House of Representatives elections from Gorkha 1 on the RSS ticket,' Gurung said. 'I have started preparations for the elections. I am going to the Gorkha constituency.'
Gurung is the founder of Hami Nepal NGO. He participated in the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23 and 24. After that, he was also involved in activities including government formation.
After that, he also played a role in uniting Balendra Shah and Kulman Ghising with the RSS. On Sunday, Sudhan himself carried Balendra Shah in his car as he entered the RSS central office.
Sudhan is a local of Gorkha district. He is going to be a candidate from Gorkha Constituency No. 1 in the upcoming elections.
