Nepali Congress central member Ajay Babu Shiwakoti has said that since the Central Working Committee led by Sher Bahadur Deuba was dissolved by the special general convention, all the decisions made by that committee have been nullified by the special general convention hall.
Addressing the ongoing special general convention at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, he claimed that the action taken in the name of the dissolved central committee to disqualify the outgoing general secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa, Bishwaprakash Sharma and joint general secretary Farmulla Mansur from being party members for five years was unauthorized.
He said, 'This decision taken in the name of the dissolved central committee will be overturned by the special general convention.'
According to Shiwakoti, such an unauthorized decision taken in the name of the central committee has hindered all efforts to keep the Nepali Congress united.
He clarified that only the party leadership approved by the special general convention will be official.
