Tripartite talks have begun between the special general convention supporters, Shekhar Koirala supporters, and the establishment supporters to resolve the Nepali Congress dispute.
A member of the negotiation committee informed that the talks began at the house of a leader in Lazimpat on Tuesday morning. Pradeep Poudel, Gururaj Ghimire, Devraj Lise, and Madhu Acharya are participating in the talks on behalf of the general convention supporters, while Jeevan Pariyar and Minendra Rijal are from Shekhar Koirala, and Ramesh Lekhak and Balkrishna Khand are from the establishment. Yesterday, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma presented their bottom line to Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka. The establishment side has not taken ownership of the second special general convention led by the general secretaries. On the other hand, a majority of representatives are participating in the general convention. That is why the talks have begun now to maintain unity within the party.
