Supporters of the Congress' special general convention have postponed all formal programs scheduled for today.
Following the death of former minister and former central member of the Nepali Congress, Homanath Dahal, last night, the Congress special general convention has postponed all its programs scheduled for today.
The supporters of the special general convention had organized a walk and various other programs at Bhrikutimandap today. Manoj Mani Acharya, coordinator of the Second Special General Convention Management Secretariat, informed that all the programs scheduled for today have been postponed.
He said that the programs scheduled for tomorrow, Poush 27, will remain the same. The second special general convention is being inaugurated at Bhrikutimandap tomorrow.
The Congress Central Working Committee meeting has also decided to lower the party flag for three days (Poush 26, 27 and 28) in honor of the party's former central member, spokesperson, former minister and senior journalist Homanath Dahal.
